How the game works

Blackjack is a game that is played as a player against the dealer/casino. The game uses the 52 cards in a standard deck of playing cards, although most casinos use multiple decks.
The goal of this game is to beat the dealer in getting as close to 21 points without going over.

The game starts of by selecting a betsize. After placing the bet, the dealer will give you two cards and takes one face up and one face down card for himself. The player now can choose if he wants to stand (no additional cards), hit (one more card), double (double the betsize, and get one card), or split (only in case of a pair). This continues until the player stands or busts. Then the dealer reveals his face down card, and stands or hits as well. Dealers usually stand if they have 17 or higher of have busted. Rules may differ for each casino though.

If both the player and dealer get no additional cards, the party with the score closest to 21 wins. If the player busted, they lose and if the dealer busts, the player wins.

The scoring goes as following (suits don’t matter):

A – 1 or 11 points, whichever is more benefitial
K,Q,J,T 10 points
9,8,7,6,5,4,3 and 2 – the value on the card.

For example, if you have A, 6 and 2, you have 19 points.

In the case that your first two cards contain an A ánd K,Q,J or T, you have a ‘blackjack’. This means that you instantly win – except if the dealer also has a blackjack, in which case you tie – and receive 2.5 times your bet, so 1.5 times the bet in profit.
All other wins pay out equal money. If you tie, you get money back.
